The RL-500 radio gateway device is the base building part of the Smart Home system.

It is the gateway between the deployed controllers, sensors and the remote controller server. Every system that would like to give the possibility of remote controlling over the internet should contain this device.

The RL-500 collects the data from the local controllers and sensors and forwards it to the remote controller server via the internet. It also receives the commands from the remote server and forwards to the appropriate controllers.

It also provides command forwarding according to timings received from the central server. In case of the internet connection is not available the local control functions will still available, but the remote controlling won’t be working.
